Triple R Farms
United States
Приєднався 17 лип 2014
Triple R Farms is located in central Alabama, and is a 4th generation farm. The farm has become very diverse throughout the years from owning a cotton gin, to farming cows, sod, cotton, corn, wheat, and soybeans. It seems like every year farming is getting more challenging, and at Triple R Farms we strive to farm for the future generations and the environment. What you will see on this channel is what goes on a family farm on a day to day basis. Hope you enjoy the videos, thanks.

I watch you RRR farms & Larson Farms..Do you have any suggestions on who else I could watch ? TY, from a retired farmer
Do you singulate your cotton?
Daniel here in South Georgia I have seen nematodes thrive more behind millet and Milo. I started using black oats as a cover crop instead of rye to reduce them and it seems to work. It’s not as good as using velum but it’s a lot cheaper

I am from Philippines I have a friend name Anthony Degertra Jones a black man from Marion Alabama he is also working in farm, I wish he is working in the farm you vlog...
I had a similar situation at 5:07 last year planting sorghum and happened to notice a bird flapping around agitated in the wheat stubble we were planting into, thankfully saw the bird and stopped, and there were some eggs in the middle of the field. Lifted up and worked around them. If I hadn't noticed them, iirc my tires would've run over the eggs I'm pretty sure.
Hello Granny! Saying a prayer and hoping you all get some rain for those thirsty crops. Daniel, thanks for taking the time to make these great farming videos. You all stay safe, and keep getting it done!
Hello Granny. The explanations you give Daniel set you apart from the rest. I truly appreciate and enjoy the education.
Your corn looks really good ! pretty, pretty pretty !!
Man it seems like we have had some amount of rain everyday for the past two weeks here in northeast SC
Looks like your sand trap under the end impact sprinkler is full on your center pivot. Speaking of that, my dad was telling me that your Grand Dad or Great G'dad use to use "mobile" irrigation machines in the valley there in Benton. Maybe ask your dad if he remembers what kind they were? My father use to "call on" your G'dad when he worked/sold for RingAround Seed and Products... (when acid de-linted cotton seed first came out etc)... Back in the day before he and my uncle started farming. He says Dan and his twin were teenagers wrestling around in the yard while he talked to your G'dad... Oh, and he said those "irrigators or machines" use to be stored behind Mr. Bradey's barn (if that helps jog your Dad's memory)... I'm interested to see or google those irrigators.
Your corn looks great but yeah the leaves are rolling up,and needs a rain. The corn is only about 3" tall (mostly just emerged here) in Kansas.
G’job Triple R family, hopefully y’all will get some moisture to help out. Howdy Granny, hope you and all the mothers at Triple R had a great Mother’s Day 🙏🏻
Crops are looking really good. The rain is coming. Stay safe and good luck.
Great video Daniel! Corn looks amazing. God bless you all
Didn’t you use a chemical or seed resistance to Nemos
I am from south Ga! stubby root has been bad this year!
Looking great, pray for needed rain,we are soaked in Georgia.
Keep praying for the rain ❤
Rain is on the way!
Daniel hope you get a drink here in Ohio we're getting our fair share and we could use a week or so of drying time to get stuff in ground. I don't like to complain about getting rain because we all know that it can go the other way in a snap of your fingers
Good afternoon Granny, hope all is well with you. TAKE CARE YOUR CORN IS SURE LOOKING GOOD. Hopefully you get the much needed rain. Milo must have been a good host for the nemotods . Your cotton is sure looking good and what a stand. You guys all stay safe and keep the irrigation a running.
Crops look great ...why are you watering the Tree line and not just the crops?
I can't believe you're not getting rain there. Here in Western KY we are getting 3 to 4 inches a week.
I am not the farmer you are but this looks like standing water damage to young plants. They almost never overcome this. Weeds & grass don't stunt like corn, soybeans & cotton.
Isn't the cotton planting your experiment with one seed per hill? It sure has started off fantastic. The corn has a good start as well, can hardly believe it is so tall already and it's early May. And just getting ready to plant beans, wow. Good morning, Granny.
You have some of the best drone footage on UA-cam Daniel.
Noticed you hooking up the fuel trailer to the Super Duty. Aren't backup cameras a wonderful invention?????
Is that eating corn or fuel corn ?
Most corn grown in the south is used for animal feed. Some may make it to ethanol if shipped by train. Ethanol production isnt big around the southeast.
Ethanol production is mainly in the corn belt area.
It could also be a spot which retained water - pooled. I have seen that do the same thing to corn. The corn had wet feet for too long a time.
Thanks Danial, very good presentation. Enjoyed it and hope you get the rain.
Daniel I'm interested in the corn problem. To me, that sure does look like a nematode problem. If that is the case, there is a simple solution, but one that a lot of folks don't particularly want to hear. A bottom plow! Fortunately, our rotation of corn/cotton/peanuts allows us to break most of our land every third year. After years and years and years of strip tillage on everything, our nematicide just wasn't getting the job done, so in 2019, we took a gamble and dusted off the old bottom plow for our peanut acerage and so far it has been beneficial to the crops that follow the peanuts as well. I'm interested to know what you find out.
Enjoyed!!
Daniel, good looking cotton. Sure hope you get the needed rain soon.
🇺🇦
